History

Founded in 1997 by Johannes Koppenhoefer and Joerg Leute, itdesigns first calling was producing individualized website solutions for customers. During that time, many projects were successfully created and deployed, like the design of the website for the Landesgirokasse, or the development of "Gepard - Gesundheitspartner-Datenbank", a database application for the AOK Baden-Wuerttemberg insurance company. These projects built the foundation for the growth of the company into new business sectors.

Development partnership with CAS Software AG

Since 1999, itdesign is development partner for CAS Software AG in Karlsruhe and enhances the well known CRM groupware solution CAS genesisWorld by adding powerful modules. On assignment by the Fraunhofer Institut IPA, itdesign realized in 2001 the first comprehensive project in Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Afterwards, many well-known companies put their trust in itdesign, such as E.ON AG, Erdgas Verkaufsgesellschaft mbH and Brainnet Management Consultants GmbH. In the course of working with these companies, itdesign transformed from a pure software development company into a comprehensive partner for CRM consultation and integration. Today, itdesign has become the largest partner for CAS genesisWorld and was awarded several times as the top selling partner.

Adding Project Portfolio Management to the mix

Concrete requirements coming from existing customers led to the formation and buildup of itdesign's second line of business: Project Portfolio Management using   CA Clarity PPM. Through the partnership with the producer CA Inc., itdesign won many new customers, such as T-Systems, Schenker and Muellermilch. Today, itdesign is the largest and most prominent CA Clarity PPM partner in Germany.

Cooperation with orgavision GmbH

In 2009, itdesign entered into a cooperation with orgavision GmbH of Berlin. orgavision is a documentation solution built for quality management and organization development. itdesign uses orgavision to document processes and prepare an employee handbook, as well as develop content packages for CAS genesisWorld customers.

Technology partnership with CA Inc.

Becoming technology partner with CA Inc. in 2010, itdesign has taken over development, maintenance and customer-specific solutions for   Open Workbench.
